Richmond Tattoo and Arts Academy
Hosted by Jesse Smith the 2019 Richmond Tattoo and Arts Academy is coming at you in full force! Now 2 DAYS chock full of the art world’s top artists sharing their knowledge, experience and techniques gathered through their artistic journeys. Day 1 will be held on Thursday, September 12th and will feature 4 internationally acclaimed tattoo artists, you MUST be a tattoo artist to attend. Day 2 will be held on Monday, September, 16th and will feature 4 professional artists from varying disciplines who have built successful careers through their art. The goal of the Academy is to create an environment where artists of all different stages in their careers can learn and be inspired by some of the best the art world has to offer.
is an internationally acclaimed tattoo artist known for his unique style of painterly tattooing that can be described as color surrealism, encompassing illustrative subject matter as well as biomech and bio-organic styles.
is a world recognized color realism tattoo artist who was also the runner-up in the second season of the TV show Ink Master.
Ryan Ashley Malarkey
is a tattoo artist who specializes in designs with beadwork, lace detail, and ornamental jewels. She is also known for winning the title of Ink Master season 8 and is an Ink Master Angel.
is a painter, working with oil on wood panels. His work blends gothic grotesque, erotic and surrealism. He is best known for his Surreal album artwork for the band Circa Survive and has produced numerous comic book covers for D.C.’s Vertigo Comics.
is a the artist behind the OG Abel brand featuring cutting-edge original designs. His artistic abilities have brought him to work with some high-profile companies like Sony, Coca-Cola, ABC, Univision, Converse and Osiris to name a few.
is an illustrator and comic artist known for his sketchy and energetic style of drawing, he is a great storyteller, marvelous illustrator, and world-class stylist. His inks and textures are unparalleled.
